Thursday's Assignment

Good morning! The first thing we're going to do today is to follow-up on all the interesting, useful, and varied idioms from the Dictation Triptych on Rec Jobs.

So here are your tasks:
  1. Identify 10 most useful idioms and create a sentence with each one, a sentence that brings out the meaning most clearly.
  2. Using a different work situation, e.g. a restaurant or grocery store, use those sentences in a conversation between a manager and a worker. Feel free to insert interesting details of your own.
  3. Have 3 classmates check your dialogue before publishing it.
  4. Add a picture.
  5. Create an audio recording.

Dialogue:

A: Hi there, can I help you?
B: Yes. Could you give me a bottle of sunscreen cream of this series?
A: OK, please wait a moment.
B: Thank you, you're so bright-eyed and bushy tailed.
A: Oh  sorry,  it is sold out. Do you like to try  another one?
B: My skin is sensitive,  I want a sunscreen cream of UV 40. I saw it last week.
A: OK, you can come to see again next week, maybe some new one will arrive.
B; But I must take it before I hit the road.
A: Oh,maybe you can look for that in other stores.
B: You betcha!  I'll look for it in other stores.
